Tanzania is constructing Africa's new largest stadium, Dodoma Stadium at a cost of $100 million. The stadium will have a capacity of up to 100,000 people.

The biggest structures require a lot of maintenance. So when we budget for such structures we must also be very clear how income will be generated not only to pay the loan but to maintain it too. Just word of caution, we have seen many a white elephant.

Building a world class stadium is not the problem But the real question should be Can there or will there maintain the stadium If not that’s just a waste of public funds
