UNIVERSITY CONNECT::MARCUS AURELIUS,MEDITATIONS,THIS IS NICE BOOK TO READ TODAY
Meditations by Marcus Aurelius, picture obtained from google.
I first recieved a copy of this book when I was 16; I’m now 22, and still read it almost daily. The great part about this book, is that you don’t have to read it cover to cover, but you can open it up to any page, read a little maxim, and recieve such great wisdom within minutes.
Marcus Aurelius ruled as emperor of Rome for about 19 years. He could have had all the money in the known world, slept with any female he wanted, killed anyone that he wanted, etc. But he chose not to. His character was truly strong, and admirable. He reflected his private thoughts in a journal, written to himself. It was never meant to be read by anyone; he wanted his journal to be burned when he died; but the wisdom it contained was too good to be burned!

I try to live by this book, and will probably read it until I’m an old man.
