2021-BASIC MATHEMATICS FORM FOUR SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS MOCK EXAMINATION READ AND DOWNLOAD.

  • My advice to the candidates about mathematical examinations are as follows

First of all, you have to consider your own abilities. Are you the kind of person who blasts through tests effortlessly, or do you have to go to the extra help sessions every other day. Mathematics isn’t really subjective in the sense that there’s a spectrum of how good you are with it. You either are good at math or you aren’t. If you’re the latter, trying your hardest won’t get you a 99%. If you’re the former, you will not even have to try for a 99 (this happened in my case).

Second, why do you even WANT a 99? If you’re not going into a math-based post-secondary program, you will likely not need a grade this high. You really must know, do I really need something like this? If you’re asking this question, you probably don’t like math, so why would you continue to pursue it after high school? It’s true that math is an integral part of society, but how much do you really need to know? What good - per se - will a high grade in advanced functions do you if you want to be an English major?

Third, your teacher. Are they the kind that checks your homework every day, demanding that you solve the way they do? Or are they more laid back, marking tests and accept your unique methods? If your teacher matches the first description, you will need to put in effort you could be using elsewhere, somewhere where your potential can actually be realized. Again, if you’re asking the question, I can safely assume you are not very good in this subject.

Please consider these 3 points carefully, and remember, there’s no surefire way to get this grade. You’re either good at math… or you aren’t. Simple as that.
