Central Bank of Tanzania Explains Information on Tanzanian Credit and Corona Virus

  • The Bank of Tanzania would like to inform the public that our notes have been designed in such a way that  prevent parasites that remain in the notes.

However, since the notes go into so many hands, we urge citizens to comply with various guidelines issued by the public health authority, including regular hand washing with soapy water or hand sanitizers. Doing so will help kill the parasites on the hands.

In addition, we advise citizens to make transactions using alternative payment methods such as cell phones, internet and credit cards without having to go to the bank or ATM to pick up a note.
