biology is the study of living systems. (BIO-life, LOGOS-study)
the definition of life has a few parts:
1. being able to reverse entropy - meaning you can use energy in order to make things more orderly instead of more jumbled.
2. you need to be able to faithfully replicate yourself.
3. you need to have a metabolism (use energy and materials)

biology is a huge field that encompasses in it the study of protein structures, movement of molecules, microbes, antibiotics, how the brain works, why a certain animal likes to live in a cave, how genes work, how the environment influences the individual, why did we evolve in a certain direction and much much more, it is a HUGE field with many exciting options in the future.
