These are five things that you should never start in your life

  • These are five things I was told to never start.
    1. My dad has always said: Never start a fight. You can end a fight, but don’t be the one to start the fight. Ending the fight puts you in control of it, starting it gets you in trouble and you never know how far it could escalate.
    2. My boss always told me: Never start scribbling your signature. Sometimes you’re in a rush and contracts can be so mundane, but do not start scribbling your signature. Your signature has to be legible and remain similar to your everyday signature. Scratching your autograph on paper makes it easy for someone to mimic your chicken scratch, or for a malicious person to say that wasn’t you who signed.
    3. My son once told me: Never let laziness take over. As soon as you start to feel a twinge of laziness kick in, push it aside. Get up and do something. Anything. Once you let laziness in, you are doomed. It becomes routine to let the mess build up, lay in bed while you binge watch Netflix, and sit idly while your tasks pile up. Do not let that happen!
    4. My friend always told me: Never chug your drinks. When you chug your drinks, you spend more money because you are finishing your drinks at a faster pace. When you chug your drink, your BAC levels also rise quicker and blacking out will most likely be in your future. Drink wisely.
    5. I have always repeated to myself: Never start something you would not want to get addicted to. Addiction runs in my family, and I personally lived with someone who let an addiction take over. It was exhausting. Alcohol allows me to de-stress, but once I start to like it too much I stop drinking it for months. P0_n is fun and teaches me some cool tricks but once I start to want to watch it hours on end I decide p0_n isn't all that interesting. Dr. Pepper is bomb, the sizzle it gives me is fulfilling and sweet but when I start to want it with every meal I stop purchasing it. Never allow yourself to create and feed addictions.
