Do you think that something is wrong with Putin with his invasion of Ukraine?

This image is from just before the invasion. Notice the puffed up cheeks and sunken eyes. This could be nothing, but it could also be due to treatment he's receiving for something like cancer.

There is something visibly different with Putin, he doesn't have the same approach as he did for the past 22 years. He was always calculating, always going right to the line, then withdrawing. His plans made sense, there were clear and limited objectives that were usually achieved.

Now we have an invasion of Ukraine out of the blue that appears to have been essentially unplanned as far as the army is concerned, demands that are unfulfillable by Ukraine and threats of nuclear war with NATO by day 5 of the war.

This is not normal, something is different from last year. A grave illness is one such possibility. He might know his time is at an end and wishes to go out with a bang. Subduing Ukraine for good may well be that bang.

It's the only way this invasion makes sense.
